Mahia is Morocco’s national spirit distilled from Figs and represents the country’s rich cultural and culinary history. It has been distilled by Morocco’s Jewish population for centuries.Nahmias et Fils upholds the ancient tradition. The Mahia we produce today is based on an heirloom family recipe dating to 1900. The Nahmias family comes from a line of Mahia distillers based in the village of Taznakht. Their spirit was considered the most exceptional in all of Morocco and was the regular star of many toasts in Casablanca.

It is rare to encounter a Cognac maker with respect for nature like Jean-François Decroix. Since 1979, he's cultivated rich biodiversity on his estate, which truly depicts time and place. This careful cultivation necessitates little meddling in the fields, which he continues through into the cellar; employing spontaneous fermentation and aging in barrels crafted out of estate wood.

The São Paulo Distillery has been perfecting this traditional method since 1909. The sugarcane is harvested by hand and indigenous yeasts are utilized to initiate fermentation. The result of this process is a pure premium cachaça.
